Delivery Options That Work for You

The SLII Experience is available both in-person and online, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

For organisations looking to build capability internally, we also offer public or private Training for Trainers courses, so your own people can deliver the programme in-house.

SLII® can be taken as part of a wider leadership journey or as a self-directed online course, giving managers the flexibility to learn at their own pace, wherever they are, whenever it suits them.

In-Person Instructor-led Courses

The SLII in-person learning experience is available in two options:

  1. Two-Day Design: A full 2-day programme, 8 hours each day, following a three-phase learning path to help participants fully master the content and lead situationally. This live training offers the most comprehensive content and plenty of chances to practice new skills.
  2. One-Day Design: A more focused, 8-hour programme using the same three-phase learning path for a concentrated learning experience.

The three-phase learning path is:

  • Launch: Participants complete engaging prework, including an assessment, to fast-track their learning and connect it to real-world challenges.
  • Learn and Practice: Through interactive activities, leaders develop the skills and language needed to lead situationally. They practise matching their leadership style and holding SLII conversations based on their own work situations.
  • Apply: After the course, participants have access to tools and resources that help them continue building and sustaining their SLII skills.



Virtual Instructor-led Courses

We offer two virtual options to suit your needs:

Option 1: Five-Session Virtual 
A comprehensive 10-hour programme, plus intersession assignments, providing the fullest content and richest opportunities to practice.

Option 2: Three-Session Virtual  A more focused 6-hour programme, with intersession assignments, for a concentrated learning experience.

The virtual sessions are spread out over several days and include engaging instruction, group activities, and plenty of chances to practise new skills.

The learning path follows three phases:

    Launch: Participants complete prework and an assessment to set the stage before classes begin.
    Learn and Practice
    : Leaders develop the skills and language to lead situationally, practising their SLII vocabulary with activities based on their real work challenges.
    Apply
    : After the sessions, tools and resources remain available to help strengthen and maintain their SLII skills.

Online Programme

SLII® Online is a self-paced, on-demand course that introduces managers to the core SLII® concepts and offers practical, hands-on learning. The full programme runs about three hours and is broken into bite-sized modules ranging from 1 to 20 minutes. Optional debrief sessions can be added for extra practice and collaboration, creating a blended learning experience.

The course features interactive exercises including videos, games, stories, case studies, and online discussions to keep learning engaging and fun.

Online Overview

The SLII® Overview is a shorter, 35-minute self-paced course that covers the essential SLII® concepts. It includes core content videos along with micro-learning activities like games, worksheets, and interactive videos to introduce key ideas quickly and effectively.

Digital Assets

Our Digital Assets are a collection of micro-learning videos, interactive tools, and tips designed for just-in-time support.

These flexible micro-activities—including videos, interactions, and worksheets—are easy for leaders to access whenever they need a quick refresher or support. They’re perfect for ongoing learning, reinforcing skills, and creating customised learning journeys.

SLII App

SLII® App

The SLII® App is a handy reference tool that helps leaders apply the SLII® Model in real-world situations. It’s there when it counts, letting managers quickly assess a team member’s development level for a specific task. From there, it provides clear conversation guides to help prepare for effective coaching discussions.

The app includes a tool to diagnose an individual’s development stage against goals or tasks, practical tips for applying SLII® principles, and an interactive model showing the key traits of each development level alongside the matching leadership style.

SLII Training for Trainers

SLII® Training for Trainers

Our learning design, The SLII Experience, uses innovative techniques that fully immerse learners in SLII® for maximum impact.

The Training for Trainers programme equips prospective SLII® trainers with a deep understanding of the concepts and skills, ensuring they feel confident, motivated, and ready to deliver The SLII Experience across their organisations.

To join the Training for Trainers, trainers must have completed The SLII Experience course within the previous 12 months.
